Our Del Ray office is open as normal and taking appointments. Thank you so much for your patience and support throughout the restoration process.
Most of the restoration work is complete and we will be reopening today, though not at 100%. We are now taking appointments for the days moving forward, please call our office or scheduled an appointment through our web booking tool here.
Our Del Ray office is still undergoing restoration after the three alarm fire at Al’s Steakhouse last week. We sustained extensive smoke and particle damage, requiring a full restoration of our office. We will remain closed, exception for prescription pick-ups, this week. We’re hoping we can open our doors for business again next week.
We’d like to take a moment to thank our staff. They have worked volunteer hours to help with the clean up and taken unpaid time off to help ease the financial burden. We are so grateful for their support and help, they truly reflect eye2eye’s mission. We’d also like to thank our neighbors for their support – the community has shown an outpouring of love for the eye2eye family!
Due to the three alarm fire next door at Al’s Steakhouse on June 6, our office has suffered extensive smoke and particle damage. We are currently undergoing a professional restoration process and appreciate your understanding while we make our office safe and smoke free to use again.
Our Del Ray office will not be scheduling patient exams through the week of July 11th while we work to repair the smoke damage. Our Del Ray office will be open for prescription pick-ups and edging. All patient appointments will be rescheduled to our Hilltop office (directions and contact information here). Please check our website for continued updates, we’ll keep you posted on the progress.
Original Post 7/6/16:
We are heartbroken for the Al’s Steakhouse family today. Due to the fire that occurred in Al’s Steakhouse restaurant, eye2eye’s Del Ray office will be closed Thursday 7/7/16 while Alexandria officials inspect and assess any potential damage.
At this point we do not believe our office was damaged in the fire, but we may have sustained smoke/smell damage. Once we are cleared to enter our office, we will assess the situation and make a decision regarding reopening. All Del Ray appointments for Thursday 7/7/16 have been rescheduled to our Hilltop location, patients needing more information can reach our Hilltop office by phone at 703-822-0570 and by email at email@example.com.
Please check our website for updates regarding the opening status of our Del Ray office.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
